CO2 Auctions
The majority of CO2 allowances issued by each participating state are distributed through quarterly auctions.
These pages are the official gateway to the information and forms you will need to participate as a bidder in an auction for RGGI CO2 allowances.
The participating RGGI states are implementing a regional auction platform to sell CO2 allowances. Each CO2 Allowance Auction will be conducted in accordance with the statutory and/or regulatory authority of each state offering CO2 allowances for sale in that auction. Each state offering CO2 allowances for sale in a CO2 Allowance Auction will retain the authority to make its own regulatory determinations in conducting the auction.
